Return & Refund Policy

We want you to shop with confidence. LifeArt369 primarily curates Japanese vintage, antique, and collectible home goods, so please understand that age, previous use, handmade variation, storage wear, and natural patina may affect an item’s condition and collectible character.

Please review all listing photos, videos, measurements, condition notes, box details, and descriptions carefully before placing your order. If you have any question about a specific item, please contact us before purchase and include the product link or item name.

Return Window

We accept return requests within 20 business days of the delivery date.

To be eligible, the return must be approved by LifeArt369 before the item is shipped back. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us and include:

  • Your order number
  • The product name or product link
  • The reason for the return request
  • Clear photos if the issue involves condition, damage, or item discrepancy

If your return request is approved, we will provide return instructions. Please do not send the item back before receiving return instructions from us.

Return Eligibility

Returned items must be in the same condition as received, unused, unworn, unaltered, and with all included parts, accessories, boxes, packaging, certificates, tags, or original materials included when applicable.

The item must not be used, cleaned, repaired, altered, damaged after delivery, disassembled, or missing any included item.

Vintage, Antique & Collectible Condition

Most vintage and antique items are not new retail goods. They may show age related wear, small marks, patina, fading, glaze variation, storage wear, box wear, handmade variation, or signs of previous use.

These characteristics are not considered defects when they are visible in the photos, described in the listing, consistent with the item’s age or handmade nature, or reasonably expected for vintage and antique goods.

For most one-of-a-kind vintage listings, the item shown in the listing photos is usually the exact item you will receive.

Buyer Responsibility Returns

If a return is approved for reasons such as change of mind, buyer remorse, incorrect purchase, size expectation, color expectation, style preference, or failure to review the listing details, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges may not be refundable when the order was shipped correctly and the carrier service was used.

The buyer is responsible for packing the item safely for return shipment. We strongly recommend using tracking and insurance for return packages, especially for fragile, vintage, antique, ceramic, glass, or high-value items.

Items That Are Final Sale

The following items are generally final sale and not eligible for return unless required by applicable law or unless the issue was caused by our error:

  • Opened blind boxes, opened sealed collectibles, mystery items, or random selection items
  • Accessories and semi-Q ceramic items, due to their delicate nature
  • Final sale, clearance, or sale items marked as final sale
  • Gift cards
  • Items that have been used, worn, cleaned, repaired, altered, or damaged after delivery
  • Items missing original boxes, packaging, accessories, certificates, or included materials when those were part of the listing

Damaged Items

We pack fragile items carefully, but damage can occasionally happen during transit. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery.

Please keep all original packaging materials, including the outer box, inner packing, padding, shipping label, and damaged item. Do not discard the item or packaging until the issue is resolved, as the carrier may require them for inspection or claim review.

Please send clear photos of:

  • The damaged item
  • The outer shipping box
  • The shipping label
  • The inner packing materials
  • Any visible damage to the box or packaging

If the item is confirmed to have arrived damaged or unusable due to transit damage, we will work with you on an appropriate resolution. Depending on the situation, this may include a refund, partial refund, replacement when available, or another reasonable solution.

Because many LifeArt369 items are one-of-a-kind vintage or antique pieces, an identical replacement may not be available.

Failure to provide requested photos, retain packaging, or cooperate with carrier inspection may limit our ability to assist with a carrier claim, refund, replacement, or other resolution.

Incorrect or Missing Item

If you believe you received the wrong item or an included item is missing, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, product link, and clear photos of the item and packaging received.

If the issue was caused by our error, we will work with you on an appropriate resolution and, when a return is required, we will provide return instructions.

Return Shipping

For approved buyer responsibility returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, or materially different from the listing due to our error, please contact us before sending anything back. We will review the situation and provide the next steps.

Approved returns must be packed securely. Fragile vintage and antique items must be protected with sufficient padding and shipped in a sturdy box. Items damaged during return shipping because of insufficient packing may not be eligible for a full refund.

Inspection After Return

All returned items are inspected after they arrive back to us. Refund eligibility and refund amount are determined after inspection.

If the returned item is not in the same condition as originally shipped, is missing parts or accessories, shows new damage, has been altered, or does not match the item originally sent, the refund may be reduced or denied.

Refunds

If a return is approved and the item passes inspection, the refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Please allow time for your bank, card issuer, or payment provider to process the refund after it is issued.

Shipping fees, handling fees, international duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage fees, tariffs, or other carrier and government charges may not be refundable unless required by applicable law or unless the issue was caused by our error.

Exchanges

In principle, we do not accept exchanges. Many LifeArt369 items are one-of-a-kind vintage, antique, or collectible pieces, so identical exchanges are usually not available.

If you would like a different item, you may place a new order after your approved return is completed.

Order Cancellation

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help if the order has not yet been packed, labeled, or shipped.

Once an order has been packed, labeled, handed to the carrier, or shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Refused Delivery, Unclaimed Packages & Incorrect Address

If a package is refused, unclaimed, returned due to customs refusal, returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, or returned because the buyer failed to pick it up, additional shipping charges may apply before reshipment.

Original shipping charges may not be refundable when the carrier has completed or attempted delivery.

Policy Misuse

LifeArt369 reserves the right to refuse, limit, or deny returns, refunds, exchanges, or future orders in cases involving suspected fraud, return abuse, item switching, false claims, missing returned items, altered items, or repeated policy misuse.

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
