Shipping Policy
LifeArt369 is a New York based online shop for curated Japanese vintage, antique, and collectible home goods. All listed items are stored in our U.S. inventory and ship from New York.
Processing & Dispatch Time
Most in-stock orders with cleared payment are carefully packed and dispatched within one business day. Orders placed before 4:00 PM Eastern Time are typically prepared for next business-day shipment when possible.
Because many LifeArt369 items are vintage, antique, fragile, or one-of-a-kind, each order is inspected and packed carefully before shipment. During holidays, severe weather, carrier disruptions, high-volume periods, or unusual order issues, processing or delivery may take longer. If we cannot ship within the stated processing time, we will contact you with the available options.
Shipping From
All orders ship from New York, United States. We do not drop ship vintage or antique items. Items listed on LifeArt369 have already arrived at our U.S. location and are ready for fulfillment unless otherwise stated.
Meticulous Packaging
LifeArt369 sells many delicate ceramics, glassware, Edo Kiriko glass, tea ceremony pieces, ikebana vessels, dolls, mahjong sets, and collectible decor. We pack each order based on the item’s size, weight, shape, material, age, and fragility.
Our policy is to pack securely first and weigh last. Fragile items may require oversized boxes, double boxing, additional padding, reinforced packing materials, or other protective supplies. Shipping and handling costs may reflect the packaging required for safe transit, especially for large, heavy, fragile, or unusually shaped items.
Please note that safe packing is prioritized over decorative gift-style presentation for fragile vintage and antique items.
Domestic Shipping
We ship within the United States using available carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, or other suitable services depending on package size, destination, value, and item type.
Tracking information will be provided after the order is shipped. Delivery dates shown by the carrier are estimates and are not guaranteed unless the selected service specifically includes a carrier-backed guarantee.
International Shipping
LifeArt369 ships internationally when available. International shipping options and rates vary by country, item size, package weight, carrier availability, customs rules, and delivery conditions.
Some carriers may require a phone number for international delivery. If a phone number is needed, we may contact you after purchase to request it for carrier use only.
Import duties, VAT, customs fees, brokerage fees, tariffs, local taxes, or other destination-country charges are the buyer’s responsibility. These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping fees and may be collected by your country, customs office, or delivery carrier.
International delivery may be delayed by customs inspection, local postal handling, weather, holidays, or carrier disruptions. These delays are outside LifeArt369’s control.
Combined Shipping
We can usually combine shipping for multiple items ordered on the same day, or within a short agreed period, when the items can be safely packed together.
Shopify may calculate shipping automatically at checkout. If multiple items are ordered and the actual shipping cost is lower after final packing and label purchase, we may refund the shipping difference when applicable.
If you plan to purchase multiple items and would like us to check the best shipping option before ordering, please contact us with the product links. Combined shipping is often more efficient than shipping each item separately, but it is not always possible. Extremely fragile, heavy, oversized, high-value, or differently shaped items may need to be shipped separately for safety.
Local Pickup in New York
Local pickup may be available by request for customers in the New York area. Pickup is by appointment only and must be arranged with us before placing the order or before shipment is prepared.
For security and inventory reasons, pickup location and timing are not guaranteed until confirmed by LifeArt369.
Address Accuracy
Please make sure your shipping address is complete and correct before placing an order. The buyer is responsible for providing a deliverable address, including apartment number, unit number, postal code, phone number when required by the carrier, and any delivery instructions needed for the destination.
If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, incomplete address, refused delivery, failure to pick up, customs refusal, or other buyer-related delivery issue, additional shipping charges may apply before the order can be reshipped. Original shipping charges may not be refundable when the carrier has already completed or attempted delivery.
Delivery Estimates & Carrier Delays
Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and may change after shipment. LifeArt369 is not responsible for carrier delays, customs delays, weather disruptions, local delivery issues, incorrect addresses, missed delivery attempts, or other events outside our control after the package has been accepted by the carrier.
We will provide tracking information and assist where reasonably possible if a shipment appears delayed, lost, or damaged.
Lost Packages
If tracking shows that a package is delayed, missing, or delivered but not received, please contact us as soon as possible. We may ask you to confirm the shipping address, check with household members, building staff, neighbors, local post office, delivery office, or carrier location.
Carrier investigations may take time. Refunds, replacements, or other resolutions are reviewed case by case based on tracking status, carrier investigation results, delivery confirmation, insurance coverage, and order circumstances.
Damaged Packages
If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery whenever possible.
Please keep all original packaging materials, including the outer box, inner packing, padding, labels, and the damaged item. Do not discard the item or packaging until the issue is resolved, as the carrier may require them for inspection or claim review.
To help us review the issue, please send clear photos of:
- The damaged item
- The outer shipping box
- The shipping label
- The inner packing materials
- Any visible damage to the box or packaging
Failure to provide requested photos, retain packaging, or cooperate with carrier inspection may limit our ability to assist with a claim, refund, replacement, or other resolution.
One-of-a-Kind Vintage Items
Many LifeArt369 items are one-of-a-kind vintage, antique, or collectible pieces. If an item is lost or damaged in transit, an identical replacement may not be available.
When a replacement is not possible, any available resolution will be reviewed based on the specific item, shipping method, insurance coverage, carrier investigation, and order details.
