Vintage Japanese mahjong set with bamboo back tiles with English mark. Includes seasonal and floral motif tiles, four white blank tiles, red chips, dice, and a black portable snap closure carrying case. Made in Japan, circa 1980. Tiles appear in very clean condition with no visible chips or cracks.

Size comparison for reference: Japanese Tiles (This Set): approx. 26 x 19 x 16 mm (Japanese Standard). American Tiles: approx. 30 x 22 x 12 mm (Standard). Chinese Tiles: approx. 32 x 24 x 16 mm (Standard). Please keep this in mind when purchasing if you plan to use these tiles with other sets or tile racks designed for larger tiles.

Care Note

Keep tiles and case dry. Store away from direct sunlight and humidity to preserve bamboo backs and case material. Clean tiles gently with a soft dry cloth.
