Vintage Bizen yaki ikebana vase in unglazed stoneware from Okayama Prefecture. Organic form with a single handle, rich earthy tones, and characteristic natural firing marks. Comes with its original signed wooden tomobako box.

Buyer Note

Bizen yaki is one of Japan's oldest pottery traditions, produced in Okayama Prefecture using unglazed clay fired in noborigama (climbing kilns). Each piece develops unique color and texture from the firing process. This vase is suitable for ikebana flower arranging and can be displayed freestanding or hanging.

Authenticity Note

Signature appears on the tomobako lid. Artist name has not been independently verified. Piece is consistent with traditional Bizen yaki unglazed stoneware from Okayama Prefecture.

Care Note

Unglazed stoneware is porous. Rinse with water only; avoid soap. Dry thoroughly after use.
