Vintage Japanese Riichi Mahjong set with bamboo-resin back tiles in a portable brown faux-leather case. Includes 144 tiles (clean and sharp), tenbo counting sticks, and dice. Tiles are Japanese standard size (26x19x16mm), smaller than American and Chinese tiles.

Japanese Mahjong tiles are standardly smaller than American and Chinese tiles. Japanese standard: 26x19x16mm. American standard: 30x22x12mm. Chinese standard: 32x24x16mm. Japanese Riichi Mahjong is typically played with 136 tiles in play; this set includes 144 tiles total.
