Vintage unglazed Bizen-yaki flower vase with a distinctive twisted handle, fired in a traditional noborigama kiln. Earthy, natural stoneware body with rich firing marks. Comes in the original signed wooden tomobako with red seal and calligraphy on the lid.

Buyer Note

Bizen-yaki is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, produced in Imbe, Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture. The unglazed, porous stoneware is traditionally valued for keeping cut flowers fresh and for use in Japanese tea ceremony. Each piece carries unique natural firing marks from the noborigama wood-burning kiln.

Authenticity Note

Presented in original signed wooden tomobako with red seal and distinctive calligraphy on the lid. Artist name not independently confirmed; please review photos of the box lid for details.

Care Note

Unglazed stoneware is porous. Rinse with water only. Do not use soap, as the clay can absorb it. Allow to dry fully between uses.
