A wide, flat Hagi-yaki stoneware bowl by potter Michie from Tenryu kiln, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Made in the 1970s to 1980s and unused, it comes in its original signed wood co-box with introduction. Suited for Sencha tea ceremony or display.

Hagi-yaki is a traditional Japanese stoneware from Hagi town, Yamaguchi Prefecture, prized in Sencha and tea ceremony culture. Its porous clay body develops character with use over time, a quality valued in Wabi-Sabi aesthetics.

Care Note

Hand wash only with mild soap and cool water. Avoid soaking. Hagi-yaki stoneware is porous and will absorb liquids over time.
