Vintage Bizen-yaki stoneware tokkuri signed Hatsu, featuring 24k gold Kintsugi repair at the mouth and a hand-drawn signature on the base. The unglazed body shows the characteristic reddish-brown, high-iron clay texture of Bizen ware. A collector-grade studio pottery piece in GREAT condition.

Buyer Note

Bizen-yaki is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, produced in Imbe, Okayama. It is fired without glaze, giving each piece a unique reddish-brown texture from the iron-rich clay. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold, treating the repair as part of the piece's history rather than concealing it.
