Araiso-yaki (Araiso ware) is a regional studio pottery style from the Omihachiman area of Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The name references the rough seashore. Chawan of this style are used for preparing and drinking matcha in the Japanese tea ceremony (chanoyu).
