The Uchide no Kozuchi (lucky mallet) is a traditional Japanese symbol of fortune and wish-granting, appearing in folklore tales such as Issun-boshi. The snake is one of the twelve Chinese zodiac animals, associated with wisdom and transformation. Year of the Snake birth years include 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, and 2025.
