Dorei (also called Tsuchi-Suzu) are traditional Japanese handmade clay bells. The Hina Doll couple motif represents the Emperor and Empress figures associated with Hinamatsuri (Girls Day), celebrated on March 3rd in Japan. These bells produce a soft, earthy chime from a small clay ball inside.
