Japanese Riichi Mahjong tiles are standardly smaller than American and Chinese tiles. Japanese standard: 26 x 19 x 16 mm. American standard: 30 x 22 x 12 mm. Chinese standard: 32 x 24 x 16 mm. Trayless design means tiles are wrapped in blocks and sit directly in the case without plastic trays, making the set slimmer than tray-style sets.
