Signed Tosen Kiln footed bowl with hand-incised geometric sgraffito in matte blue and black. Measures 8 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches tall. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.

Sgraffito is a hand-incised ceramic technique in which a design is scratched through a layer of slip or glaze to reveal a contrasting color beneath. Each piece is unique.

Authenticity Note

Deeply incised maker mark reading 'Tosen' (Tosen-saku) is clearly legible on the underside of the base.

Care Note

Hand wash only. Avoid prolonged soaking. Not recommended for microwave or dishwasher use.

Notes:
Vintage piece remarkably well-preserved. No chips, cracks, or visible crazing. Glaze remains vibrant with a smooth matte finish. High-contrast black foot is clean and stable. Maker mark is deeply incised and clearly legible on the underside.
