Large lidded Kensui in unglazed Bizen ware, repaired with black kintsugi lacquer technique. Approximately 6.5 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter. A functional tea ceremony piece that embodies wabi-sabi aesthetics.

Kensui is a tea ceremony water container used to discard rinse water. Black kintsugi uses urushi lacquer to mend cracks, celebrating imperfection rather than concealing it. Each repaired piece is unique.

Unglazed Bizen pottery is porous. Avoid soaking in soapy water. Rinse and air dry after use.
