Handmade Kyo yaki chawan with hand-painted Tsubaki Toon camellia flower pattern inside and outside, signed by Japanese maker Kosen. No chips or cracks; minor aging dirt inside the bowl is present. Suitable for matcha preparation or display.

Kyo-yaki (Kyoyaki) is a style of Japanese pottery originating in Kyoto. Chawan are tea bowls used in traditional Japanese tea ceremony for preparing and drinking matcha. Minor aging and patina are characteristic of handmade pottery and do not affect function.
